animation
I am so excited about animation in schools. It is a fun, creative, interesting, motivating and full fullfilling learning experience for children. I believe it is so enriching and children will love it. It actually isn't too difficult either. I have never played with diagrams and animation before until today so it was a completely new learning experience, so i really saw it from the child's eyes. I found it promoted many social skills as well as educational skills. It meant i had to work well in a team, discussing idea's, role play (who's the director etc?), each of us having a play on the equipment. It was educational because i was getting to grips and learning how to use the equipment. In an educational setting i would so use animation its so cross curricular linking at least 3 subjects together. for example (Considering RE) children could re-tell religious stories, inform us about religion using animation. This means they would have to storyboard: linking with literacy planning a story etc, children would also be learning RE as well as ICT. This is just one example there are just so many ways animation can be used. Its awesome.I really am amazed and fascinated about ICT. I am actually quite excited and becoming more open minded about ICT. I cant wait to use it in schools. :-)
